Brief overview

The company EnR Engineering Services (EES) was founded by Mr. Boukhalfa Yaïci, a solar specialist with more than 20 years of experience in Research & Development (1987-1996), setting up solar systems to serve rural electrification (several villages and border crossings), water pumping and Telecom equipments (oil & gas sector) across Algeria (1997-2008), development of industrial projects in the field of Solar (manufacturing thin-film photovoltaic project, solar concentrated power project) on behalf of the biggest algerian private group (2008-2011).
In the field of R & D, he participated to the first Algerian solar program (1984-1988) concentrated on electrification of several villages in southern Algeria (Adrar and Tamanrasset) with monitored systems and designed electronic equipment prototypes (electronic loads designated to record the current-voltage curve of photovoltaic modules and solar fields, DC energy meters).
He elaborated and executed maintenance schedule and training of users.
During the same period, he trained future engineer degree students and master degree students in photovoltaic systems.
In terms of technical innovations, valuable assistance was given to a local manufacturer of batteries to manufacture solar batteries with low capacity (<150 Ah).
Today, this company commercializes a 12 VDC/110 Ah solar battery included in most SHS (solar home system) installed in Algeria.
Furthermore, it was possible to introduce a variable-frequency drive to run 3-phase submersible motors in solar pumping systems reducing the solar specific components to solar panels only.
This was available in local market (2001-2003).
In the area of specific training, the founder of EES provided and continues to provide trained engineers the basis to engineer solar power plants in all of a value chain (project development, engineering, monitoring and maintenance).
The founder of EES conducted actions and activities on behalf of companies such as: Sonelgaz, Sonatrach, Sonatrach Group Agip, Total Algeria, the Ministry of National Defense, National Security Corps, Civil Protection Guard, the High Commissioner for Development Steppe – HCDS, Forests Conservation, municipalities in southern Algeria (Illizi, Tindouf), Development Unit for Solar Equipments, the Centre for Development of Renewable Energies, University of Batna, the University of Bechar, University of Oran, etc.
He worked for foreign companies like Photowatt International, Tenesol (former Total Energie) and Isofoton) for several years bringing its expertise to the expansion of these brands in Algeria.
He also developed expertise for Algerian companies involved in industrial sector (Cevital) and commercial sector (Technosolar Systèmes, Solartech, Tenesol Algeria and recently Alsolar).
At international level, he was the representative of the algerian shareholder (Cevital) within Dii GmbH (Desertec Industrial Initiative) involved to set up and develop an international consortium and its implementation (2009 - 2011).Come back...
